Formally Kalbarri Scenic Flights Pty Ltd, acquired in 2007, the company has a rich history of flying visitors over the Mid-West’s breathtaking landscapes for over 30 years.
In mid-2018, recognising the demand for expanded services in scenic flights and extended flying tours from Perth, Nationwest Aviation was introduced. This strategic decision aligned our aviation services more closely with other successful ventures under the Nationwest Group, transcending the well-known Kalbarri Scenic Flights brand.

In addition to our permanent bases, Nationwest Aviation operates pop-up bases, such as our previous locations in Onslow and Kununurra. These pop-up bases allow us to bring our services to new and exciting locations, providing more people with the opportunity to experience the wonders of flight with Nationwest Aviation.

At Nationwest Aviation, we love showcasing the natural beauty of Western Australia — and we want to help protect it too.
That’s why we’ve partnered with Carbon Positive Australia, a local non-profit dedicated to planting native trees and restoring ecosystems, to offer a simple way for you to offset the carbon emissions from your scenic flight.
Flying burns fuel, which produces carbon dioxide (CO₂). A carbon offset balances this out by funding projects that absorb carbon — like planting trees.

We’ve done the maths — each tour’s carbon footprint has been carefully calculated based on fuel burn and flight time. You’ll see the carbon offset as an optional add-on when booking directly with us, usually:

That’s less than the cost of a coffee, and goes straight toward tree planting and ecosystem restoration.
